For the new year I got a very interesting E-Mail. I agree with a number of the things he said. Not all, but a number!

"Dear Dan, your statement about The Islamic doctrine of abrogation is the idea that Allah can change or cancel things he tells Muslims is wrong. In fact the Koran remain unchanged and still written on it's real language. BUT there is people with stupid statement and idealism do their own interpretation to legalize their terrorism and called that coward action as a JIHAD.

In Koran, suicide are one of the most unforgiving sin...Suicide bombers is still a suicide, no matter what they say about it; Jihad or not they are still rotten in hell. You should know that terrorist always using small fragment from Koran to justified their action. The most interesting fact to me is both Osama and Saddam was taking up to their "throne" by the USA just before they suddenly becoming USA no 1 enemy.

If you said about Islam who try to reign it's empire all over the world due to the historical event on Jerusalem, Cordoba, etc...well, does christian army do the same thing when taking Jerusalem,and slay Jews citizen ? oh and please do not forget who's the one starting a "holly war"? is it islam who spread their empires with things called Gold, Gospel and Glory? I think both of religion; Islam and Christianity sharing their history with same amount of bloody battle so i think it's unfair if you bold the word Islam as the most responsible for the war of world domination because Islam never start Holy War as same as Islam never start world war I and II.

Please do not listen to what "ARAB" or Saudi cleric comments because they are full of shit. PLEASE do not think all people from "saudi" are better moslem just because Islam was born there...Saudi it's the country who doesn't respect woman rights especially foreign labors, with their prince and king spending their oil money with luxurious car and expensive things while their brother in third country suffer from hunger-considering one of the most important lesson from Koran is to live humble and helping each other out.

Dear dan, i'm from Indonesia-the biggest islamic country in the world and i don't want to flaming anyone here. If you have more time to spent i welcome you in my country so you can see the real islam from a different view. Thank you and happy new year !

I sincerely hope that Z---- is right. I wish that it is true. I think that there are many, many Muslims in the world who adhere to the peaceful aspects of Islam. A free and honest discussion about our beliefs is just fine. The truth will win out. I just don't want to get killed because I disagree with someone and I don't want you to get killed either. You will notice that just happened to a government official in Pakistan. He was trying to help a Christian woman sentenced to death for telling someone about her faith. Now some 500 moderate Islamic clerics say his murder was justified.

You can talk about "Gold, Gospel and Glory" but that was 500 years ago. World Wars 1 & 2 came about because of the greed of Kings, Kaisers and Tsars (WW1) and Chancellors and Emperors (Hitler, Hirohito, WW2). Hitler even tried and mostly succeeded in replacing the Bible with Mein Kampf at religious services in Germany. These wars had nothing to do with Christianity. While I have been thinking about all this a Bible verse, Ephesians 6:12, keeps coming to mind.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

I think both I and Z---- can apply this truth to our thinking. Thank you for writing Z----.

OK, How do I say this without being offensive. I am really interested in what you say but I don't give a flying passage of gas in a hot place about what you think!

WOW, what does that mean? Simply this. I am interested in what you say about the things I say and you can tell the truth to me because you can't offend me. That is because I don't care about what you think of me! You can FLAME me, Rant and Rave, say you love me or say you hate me, it's all the same to me!

I am interested in how you come to whatever opinion you have, why you say what you say. Lately, I keep hearing and reading about people who say they HATE, absolutely HATE Palin, Beck, O'Reilly, Fox, ETC. They are just liar, liar pants on fire. However, they never seem to be able to give proof or at least some kind of reason for what they say. I gave you reasons why I feel as I do so if you disagree with me can you give me some reason why?

So there you go. Tell me what you think. I promise to read what you say but I will not write back because I don't care what you think. I only care about what you say!
