Fake News in 2019

I started keeping track of FAKE NEWS stories at the end of 2018. What I found amazed even me. You just cannot trust CNN, and the rest of the alphabet news outlets. I used to take several local news papers but the were all anti Trump. My wife takes one last local paper but I stopped reading it after they published, on the front page no less, a chart that listed CNN as only slightly to the left in their reporting. Are you kidding me? Who can you trust for unbiased news? Certainly not the alphabet news media.

Here are a lot of examples of FAKE NEWS that I have found. I've tried to put the date, name of the Legitimate Journalist who found it and the link to the their article. You will need to copy and paste the link, into your browser, to get the journalists article.

If that does not work for you, copy and paste the link into the WayBack Machine below.

Yale Professor Gets Roasted for Saying Mitch McConnell Has 'Zero Constitutional Authority' to Shape Trump Impeachment Trial

‘Time’s up’! It’s been 18 months since CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin made this bold prediction about what would happen ‘in 18 months’ … how’d he do?

"It’s important for the media to fact-check itself. This was not a “this may happen” or “this could happen.” It was a declarative fact from CNN’s chief legal analyst, who specializes in the Supreme Court. Today is 18 months. And abortion is illegal in zero states."

Some next-level BULLS**T! Lefty’s claim Trump has only appointed racist, WHITE MALE JUDGES easily (and painfully) debunked

"This is what a lie looks like, folks.

A lie being spread by thousands and thousands of people on Twitter which will absolutely show up in debates near and far as we approach the election. You will see folks on the Left absolutely SWEAR Trump has only appointed white, racist dudes …

Perhaps this person really didn’t know better, but to us, it looks like a deliberate attempt at misinforming and scaring people into thinking Trump is appointing racist judges.

Take a look at this crap."

Leave It to CNN to Flat Out Lie About the Booming Economy

"The economy is booming. We have the lowest unemployment rate in 50 years. Unemployment is at a historic low for Hispanics and African Americans. People are working. Their taxes were reduced thanks to President Donald Trump's tax cuts. People have more money in their pockets every paycheck and they are feeling confident in our economy.

More businesses are hiring because their tax burden was reduced when Trump signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Small businesses are able to reinvest in their business, which, in turn, means they have more flexibility to hire people.

Despite those successes, CNN flat out lies about what things are like for the average American, you know, those "Deplorables" in flyover country that voted for this president. That became extremely evident during Sunday's episode of "Reliable Sources with Brian Stelter" when the panel discussed the economy."

CNN ran two stories saying Trump opposes Russia sanctions as he was about to sign one into law

"The news network ran, not just one, but two stories reporting that President Donald Trump is balking at sanctions targeting Russia for its 2016 election interference and annexation of Crimea. However, what CNN did not report is that the 45th president signed tough sanctions on Friday that target the Kremlin's expansion into European oil markets.

Even the UK's BBC covered Trump approving the measures targeting a major Russian pipeline while the so-called "most trusted name in news" in the United States ignored."

Lara Logan slaps New York Media with $25 million lawsuit over 'bombshell' report on Benghazi

"Former "60 Minutes" reporter Lara Logan hit New York Media with a $25 million lawsuit over their report that downplayed the sexual assault she faced, and made false statements about her Benghazi reporting."

"The headline reference to 'Bombshell' was both sexist, insulting and defamatory at the same time," the lawsuit alleges. "The word was intended to portray Logan as a dangerous and untouchable and incendiary reporter."

"Logan also said that Hagan misrepresented the sexual assault she faced when reporting in Egypt. The report called it "groping" while she maintains that she was the victim of a gang rape."

Pelosi Peddles Fake Stats on Firearms

"In her efforts to push the Democrats’ agenda on gun control, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been repeatedly using the disingenuous “save the children” trope. “It has been over 200 days since the House passed life-saving background checks legislation,” Pelosi complained in September. “100 people die every from gun violence — 47 of them children & teenagers. How many more must perish before [Mitch McConnell] will take action?”

What are the facts? “Fewer than 9 percent of those killed by guns are 19 or younger — not 47 percent. Seven children or teenagers are killed a day — not 47.” As a result, the Post awarded Pelosi “four Pinocchios” for her outright lies.

But we’ll only give one cheer to the Post. Its “fact checker” might take Pelosi to task for getting the statistics wrong, but he’s not going to tell you the real story either: Most of the seven “kids” killed every day are urban, fatherless gang-bangers. They’re often older teenagers who are shooting rival gang members over drugs or territory or whatever other grievance. It’s not a gun problem; it’s a culture problem, and it’s based in Democrat urban centers."

Biden Lies About 'Finding Republican Votes' For Obamacare

"We need somebody with a proven ability to bring people together, and do the hard work of getting legislation passed," Biden told a crowd of his supporters. "I've done that," Biden insisted. "I've done that before. Finding Republican votes for the Recovery Act, Obamacare -- helping us from falling into a great depression."

Not a single Republican member of Congress voted for Obamacare, therefore Joe Biden lied about "finding Republican votes" for the much-hated legislation. For the record, Republicans did find 34 House Democrats to join with them in voting against Obamacare. "

Cue The Eye Rolls: MSNBC Panel Knows Why Trump Impeachment Polling Hasn’t Moved

It’s InfoWars, but delivered in a calm and commanding demeanor as to suggest there’s truth to these left-wing lies. The network has long served its purpose of keeping liberal America’s blood pressures low and nothing could serve as a better example of that than this panel, where Chris Matthews suggests that the reason why support for Trump’s impeachment hasn’t moved is due to Fox News' existence "

Greta Thunberg's plan to save carbon emissions backfires over travel on luxury yacht

"Teenage climate change activist Greta Thunberg refuses to fly on airplanes, relegating her trans-Atlantic travel to boats. The 16-year-old Swede believes the move cuts down on carbon emissions.

So, when Thunberg needed to travel from the U.S. to Europe last month in order to attend a climate summit in Madrid, Thunberg took a boat, of course.

However, as it turned out, Thunberg's trip did not reduce carbon emissions. Instead, it produced the same amount that Thunberg hoped to save — perhaps even more.

That is because, as the Sunday Times reported, Nikki Henderson, a 26-year-old yacht skipper, flew to the U.S. from Britain to sail Thunberg's ship — the La Vagabonde, a 48-foot catamaran — the 3,500 mile journey from the U.S. to Portugal."

Obamacare's Legacy: ABC News Report Shows Healthcare Costs Skyrocketing Over Past Decade

Less than a decade ago, they introduced and rammed through Obamacare, which they insisted was a panacea with no drawbacks or policy tradeoffs. It would expand coverage, yes, but most importantly, it would lower costs for everyone. The plan was literally called the Affordable Care Act, after all. How has that been going?"

Hypocrite Biden Lies In Campaign Ad About Sandy Hook

"Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden called on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube to remove a Trump campaign ad which the Biden campaign criticized for promoting a "conspiracy theory." The Trump campaign ad simply stated facts about the Biden family's conflict of interest in Ukraine. Elizabeth Warren then attacked Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for his company's policy of not removing campaign ads just because the Democrats claim something is untrue about them. In this instance, Zuckerberg sided with the First Amendment, saying people should be allowed to know which politicians are dishonest and decide for themselves what to believe.

That was last week. This week, Joe Biden lied in a campaign ad.

In his ad, Biden claims he met with every victim's family in the Sandy Hook shooting. This was quickly proven to be a lie when a family member of one of the victims took to Twitter to point out that his family, who lost a six-year-old son, never met with Joe Biden and were not allowed onto Air Force One because they did not support Obama-Biden's gun control policies."

Time for the Press to Do Its Job

"The press hates Donald Trump. That's not a newsflash. The bias the press shows toward most Republicans turns to outright hostility when it comes to Trump. Once you've convinced yourself your opponent is an evil racist, it's not hard to justify doing anything you can to stop him. Many in the press corps have admitted this. A New Insight Into Media Bias

"Since America’s colonial days the press has been a target of those who believe journalists have a point of view that shapes their reporting.

There have been numerous articles and studies revealing a journalistic predisposition to opinions and subjects that reinforce liberal points of view.

Now comes an excellent critique from World Magazine editor Marvin Olasky. His latest book, “Reforming Journalism,” is a philosophical and even theological deconstruction of historic and contemporary media.

Olasky dismisses the notion of “objectivity” in journalism. Everyone has a belief system, he argues, and it influences how each person approaches stories."

"Late in the last century, Olasky writes, “…some well-known American television journalists attacked the entire concept of objectivity. Robert Bazell said, ‘Objectivity is a fallacy. … There are different opinions, but you don’t have to give them equal weight.’ Linda Ellerbee wrote, ‘There is no such thing as objectivity. Any reporter who tells you he’s objective is lying to you.’ In the United States, some writers argued for a ‘new journalism’ in which reporters emphasized their own subjective impressions.”

Beyond the predictable distrust of journalists this has caused, the claim of objectivity has had considerable limitations. Some examples: “Reporters have never felt the need to balance anti-cancer statements with pro-cancer statements. In recent practice, secular-liberal reporters have seen pro-life concerns or ‘homophobia’ as cancerous, and many other Christian beliefs as similarly harmful. Objectivity was a reporting of multiple subjectivities, and truth was out there at a constantly receding horizon. If journalists in phase two happily saw themselves as cameras, journalists in phase three unhappily started to see themselves as stenographers or tape recorders.

See how this works? It’s the same with “climate change,” abortion and many other issues. Anyone who goes against the faith of the secular-progressive culture is simply ignored, or ridiculed. In totalitarian societies it’s called propaganda.”

Oct. 15, 2019, Thomas Gallatin

ABC News Caught Promulgating Fake News

"When a news organization’s primary commitment is to reinforce a desired narrative rather than presenting an honest and accurate account of facts relevant to an event, then that “news” organization is guilty of biased reporting, if not outright propaganda. Two recent news reports serve to demonstrate the fact that this is what the mainstream news media has become. The first and most egregious instance comes from ABC News, which aired video footage during which a reporter asserted, “This video, obtained by ABC News, appears to show the fury of the Turkish attack on the border town of Tal Abyad.” The problem is that was not what the video footage depicted, rather the footage of heavy machine-gun fire amidst a series of explosions was actually taken from a 2017 event at the Knob Creek Gun Range in Kentucky. It had no relation whatsoever to the events in Syria.

Only after ABC was alerted to this gross “mistake” did it remove the video and release a statement on social media: “CORRECTION: We’ve taken down video that aired on ‘World News Tonight’ Sunday and ‘Good Morning America’ this morning that appeared to be from the Syrian border immediately after questions were raised about its accuracy. ABC News regrets the error.” ABC failed to explain why the footage in question was aired but promised to investigate."

Widespread Ignorance: Americans Wrongly Believe Most Gun Deaths in US Are Homicides and Mass Shootings

"On some level, can you blame average people for getting the facts so wrong? In light of the news media's ugly blend of profound bias and almost proud ignorance on gun issues, it's entirely unsurprising that the public is deeply misinformed on the subject. The latest case in point is a fresh survey in which Americans badly miss the mark in estimating the top causes of gun-related deaths. Voters vastly overestimate the prevalence and toll of homicides and (especially) mass shootings, while sharply underestimating suicides."

"On the issue of mass shootings, it's understandable why outsized press attention would skew public perceptions on the frequency of such events. This is also true of mass shootings at schools, which are both gut-wrenchingly awful and vanishingly (and increasingly) rare."

"... 60 percent of US gun deaths are from deliberately self-inflicted wounds."

Idiotic Environmental Predictions

"As reported in The New York Times (Aug. 1969) Stanford University biologist Dr. Paul Erhlich warned: "The trouble with almost all environmental problems is that by the time we have enough evidence to convince people, you're dead. We must realize that unless we're extremely lucky, everybody will disappear in a cloud of blue steam in 20 years."

"In 2000, Dr. David Viner, a senior research scientist at University of East Anglia's climate research unit, predicted that in a few years winter snowfall would become "a very rare and exciting event. Children just aren't going to know what snow is." In 2004, the U.S. Pentagon warned President George W. Bush that major European cities would be beneath rising seas. Britain will be plunged into a Siberian climate by 2020. In 2008, Al Gore predicted that the polar ice cap would be gone in a mere 10 years. A U.S. Department of Energy study led by the U.S. Navy predicted the Arctic Ocean would experience an ice-free summer by 2016."

Don't Trust Legacy Media? MSNBC Reporter Thinks You Don't Understand the 'Sins of the President'

"Democrats ran with the Russia collusion hoax for more than two years. They clung to it as their "smoking gun" to prove President Donald Trump colluded with Russia to interfere in our elections. Special Counsel Robert Mueller concluded no collusion took place. Democrats didn't get their wish. They didn't have the "ah ha!" moment that would allow them to impeach President Trump. They doubled down when Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced a formal impeachment inquiry into Trump's phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. During the call, Trump asked Zelensky to look into shady business dealings between Hunter Biden and a Ukrainian gas company. He was being paid $50,000 a month despite having no experience in natural energy. The one connection he did have, however, was that his father, Joe Biden, was vice president and working on international relations dealing with Ukraine.

See how swampy that is? It doesn't pass the smell test. And it shouldn't, regardless of what political party you belong to. But, according to MSNBC contributor Dylan Byers, only the liberal media and lefties understand "the sins of the president."

"Over the past several days, people have been circulating the claim that Warren lied about being fired over a pregnancy, and while that’s not quite right, it does demonstrate how the lie that has become a regular part of Warren’s stump speech has evolved. The central idea has always been that she was living her dream of being a public school special ed teacher until some villainous Mad Med-era principal put the kibosh on the whole thing because of her baby bump.

When Warren tells the story now — as she did at a Carson City, Nevada rally this week — she says she’d be teaching special needs kids right now if it hadn’t for that dastardly principal."

Update: CNN Clarifies Report That Anchor Pushed Race Hoax Without Issuing Update

"CNN anchor Brianna Keilar reported on Friday about the allegation from an African-American sixth-grade girl, who said three white boys cut her hair and used racial slurs against her at Immanuel Christian School.

The story received nationwide attention in the days that followed, but on Monday the girl's family issued a statement saying that she had made the whole incident up.

Amid the firestorm of the impeachment inquiry, Keilar's show devoted almost two minutes to the story. In the on-air segment, Keilar made note that Second Lady Karen Pence taught at the school part-time. While CNN published a story on Monday about the family's statement, Keilar herself did not provide an update to the story on Monday or Tuesday.

An on-air correction came later in the day at the top of the 3:00 hour on Monday from anchor Brooke Baldwin.

Others who pounced on the story and have yet to issue an update or correction include Rep. Rashida Tlaib, who sent a tweet on September 28, but has not sent another tweet about the incident."

Fake News: No, Three White Boys Did Not Pin Down A Black Girl And Cut Her Hair Last Week At Karen Pence's School

"Those same outlets which reported the story were also quick to point out this supposed incident occurred at the same Christian school where Vice President Mike Pence's wife, Karen, teaches parttime. But, shame on those reporters and media for failing to investigate the story before running salacious headlines and tweeting condemnation. If these journalists had done their jobs, they would have discovered the story to be a fake. Instead, they smeared a good school while also dragging elementary school kids through the mud.

On Monday, the little girl behind the story revealed she lied and made it all up. Her grandparents also issued an apology on her behalf. But, the fault lies not with this little girl but in the pathetic leftist media who nationalized the story in an errant attempt to villainize white boys and Karen Pence."

Study claiming religious children are less generous was proven wrong. But media outlets continued to cite original findings.

The retraction took almost four years

"A study published in 2015 claimed children raised with religion were less generous — and it caught fire.

More than 80 media outlets covered the conclusions stated in "The Negative Association between Religiousness and Children's Altruism across the World," including the Economist, the Boston Globe, the Los Angeles Times, and Scientific American, according to Psychology Today.

However, Azim Shariff — a religion and pro-social behavior expert — asked to review the data since his own work showed the opposite: that religious environments increased generosity, the magazine said. Oops

And sure enough, there was an error in the way the data was analyzed — and the original findings went away upon reanalysis, Psychology Today noted.

And while Shariff published a paper on his findings the following year in the same journal — Current Biology — only four media outlets picked up on the corrected data, the magazine said. All the other outlets so hyped over the original story never ran with the amended information, Psychology Today added."

"The topic of transgender rights has been a central component of the Democratic Party’s focus on intersectionality, often to the detriment of women’s rights as a whole. One short statement from Democratic front-runner Joe Biden at the LGBTQ presidential forum on Friday proved that the Left has lost complete sight of reality in their increasingly desperate attempt to pander to their radical base.

However, the CDC goes on to state, “Based on initial data … we know: Most patients have reported a history of using e-cigarette products containing THC.” And here is the crux of the matter, which the media has completely downplayed and ignored: the vast majority (if not all) of the recent hospitalizations are due to people consuming unsafe and illegal substances with a completely safe and legal vaping device."

Wrong Again: 50 Years of Failed Eco-pocalyptic Predictions

"Modern doomsayers have been predicting climate and environmental disaster since the 1960s. They continue to do so today.

None of the apocalyptic predictions with due dates as of today have come true.

What follows is a collection of notably wild predictions from notable people in government and science.

More than merely spotlighting the failed predictions, this collection shows that the makers of failed apocalyptic predictions often are individuals holding respected positions in government and science.

While such predictions have been and continue to be enthusiastically reported by a media eager for sensational headlines, the failures are typically not revisited."

Dems' Health Care Whoppers

"When it comes to health care, Democrats are selling snake oil. Americans are grappling with rising medical costs. But if they fall for the phony solutions the left is offering, they'll pay with exorbitant taxes and shorter lives.

Whopper 1: Obamacare is affordable. Joe Biden's running a television ad in Iowa pledging to stand by Obamacare because "every American deserves affordable health care." Iowans aren't going to buy that. They're not hayseeds.

Truth: In Iowa, 90% of Obamacare customers who paid their own way in 2014 have dropped their coverage. Obamacare is affordable only if you qualify for a subsidy. Middle-class people who earn too much to get taxpayer-funded help can't afford to stay enrolled. They "have taken it on the chin," reports Larry Levitt of the Kaiser Family Foundation. Why is the number of uninsured in America suddenly rising again? Blame Obamacare for pricing the middle class out of insurance."

"Whopper 2: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has a new proposal to bring down prescription drug prices. She'd force drug companies to "negotiate" with Uncle Sam about the price of each medicine.

Truth: Get real, Speaker Pelosi. No one negotiates with the feds. Uncle Sam will dictate the price. Any drug company that refuses will get socked with a draconian penalty equal to 75% of the previous year's sales of that medicine. In short, bankruptcy. Good luck getting the meds you need then..... Air Force Completely Destroys Media Narrative About Crew Favoring Trump's Scottish Hotel

"Military flights making stopovers in Scotland are not unusual, and there were no rooms closer to the airport, an Air Force spokesman said Saturday in an emailed statement to The Associated Press.

“As our aircrews serve on these international airlift missions, they follow strict guidelines on contracting for hotel accommodations and all expenditures of taxpayer dollars,” Brig Gen Edward Thomas wrote. “In this case, they made reservations through the Defense Travel System and used the closest available and least expensive accommodations to the airfield within the crews’ allowable hotel rates.”

A local government contractor made the Scotland reservations, and indicated there was not a room closer to the airport than the Trump resort, 54 miles away, Thomas said.

That, Thomas said, was not a remarkable distance to travel to receive the government rate for the rooms.

He said the Trump resort had rooms for $136 a night, cheaper than a Marriott, which charged $161 a night. However, he said both are under the per diem rate of $166."

A Disturbing Glimpse Into The Manufacturing of Fake News

"President Trump’s enemies are providing yet another disturbing glimpse of the veritable fake news factory into which the mainstream media has morphed.

Late last week, Ian Bremmer, one of the most well-known foreign policy experts in America, tweeted a made-up quote from President Trump without offering any indication that the statement was fictitious. “President Trump in Tokyo: ‘Kim Jong Un is smarter and would make a better President than Sleepy Joe Biden,'” Bremmer wrote, providing no further context.

Predictably, the fake news twitterverse took the quote at face-value. Journalists and lawmakers alike went on to share Bremmer’s tweet, blasting President Trump for a statement he never made.

CNN contributor Ana Navarro-Cárdenas, for instance, retweeted the fake quote with an emotional message to her followers."

“Don’t shrug your shoulders. Don’t get used to this insanity,” she wrote. “The President of the United States praising a cruel dictator who violates human rights, threatens nuclear attacks, oppresses his people, and kills political opponents, IS NOT FREAKING NORMAL.”

"The whole episode was distressingly reminiscent of the Covington Catholic controversy, in which reporters across the mainstream media landscape aggressively defamed a group of high school students based on incomplete and inaccurate reports from non-journalists on social media, only to discover that their original description of the encounter was practically the exact opposite of the truth."

Can They Get Anything Right? Looks Like That ‘Trump Wanted The USS McCain Obscured’ Story Is Fake News

Fish feeding was the source of fake news, folks. That’s how bad this has become. Poynter Pulls List of 'Unreliable' News Sites Over Its Unreliability

May 6, 2019

While Leftmedia outlets regularly malign conservative news sites as “unreliable” and biased, what caught everyone’s attention was the stated aim of the Poynter list. Barbara Allen, Poynter’s managing editor, explained that the reasons for creating the “unreliable” list were “to provide a useful tool for readers to gauge the legitimacy of the information they were consuming” and to serve as a “blacklist” resource to advertisers for sites to avoid.

The Washington Examiner was quick to report on the story, observing, “The really curious thing here is not that a pro-journalism group’s blacklist would include right-leaning newsrooms, but that such an organization would produce a blacklist at all. There is something discordant about a group whose mission is to champion ‘freedom of expression, civil dialogue and compelling journalism’ simultaneously being in the business of blacklisting real (albeit opinionated) news organizations are ‘unreliable.’”

After removing the dubious list from its site, Allen posted a letter apologizing “for the confusion and agitation” and pledged to hold Poynter to a higher standard.

In the first year in law school I decided I didn’t want to be in law school and ended up in the bottom two-thirds in my class, then I decided I wanted to stay, went back to law school and, in fact, ended up in the top half of my class. I won the International Moot Court Competition, I was the ‘Outstanding Student’ in the Political Science department at the end of my year. I graduated with three degrees from undergraduate school and 165 credits, only needed 123 credits, and I’d be delighted to sit down and compare my IQ to yours, if you’d like, frankly.”

Leftmedia outlets claim the Mueller report actually vindicates their reporting over the last two years.

"While the Leftmedia’s own “fact-checkers” may award points for truth-telling in that some specific claims were indeed factual, from a strategic standpoint it’s hard to unpack how delusional these boasts are. So we’ll focus on just two overarching points.

First, the Leftmedia spent more than two years reporting that Trump had colluded with Russia, not that their reporting stopped him. These scribes may congratulate themselves, but their reporting didn’t even rise to the level of one of Hollywood’s films “based on a true story.” The entire collusion narrative was based on totally fabricated lies, as Mueller’s report made painfully clear. That a few reporters got some facts right while reporting fake news is irrelevant."

What David Attenborough and Netflix’s 'Our Planet' Get Wrong About Climate Change

Netflix has recently premiered their new eight-part series titled Our Planet, with narration from the inveterate David Attenborough. One particularly grisly scene of walruses falling to their death from a high cliff in northern Russia has caused shock and revulsion among many viewers.

Netflix seems unwilling to precisely identify the site, or sites, that were included for the walrus herd in their film or to specify exactly when the cliff incident occurred. The circumstances of the event are eerily similar to a mass death involving walruses falling from a cliff in northeastern Russia, reported in The Siberian Times on October 19, 2017.

The report is very clear in attributing the incident to a pack of at least 20 polar bears approaching the walruses. This caused panic among the walruses, resulting in a few hundred of the approximately 5,000 mammals falling to their death. The bears then feasted on the carcasses. This is as natural an event as lions taking down Cape buffalo in Africa or American Indians driving bison over cliffs at buffalo jumps.

The event was witnessed by Viktor Nikiforov, Head of the WWF Polar Bear Patrol, who was quoted stating, “The walruses were obviously frightened by the predators, panicked and fell from the top to their deaths.”

The Inuit government of the northern Canadian territory Nunavut recently received a report from their committee stating that polar bears are now overpopulated in the Arctic.

BUSTED: Mount Vernon Debunks Politico's Fake News Story About Trump's Visit To Washington's Estate

During a guided tour of Mount Vernon last April with French president Emmanuel Macron, Trump learned that Washington was one of the major real-estate speculators of his era. So, he couldn’t understand why America’s first president didn’t name his historic Virginia compound or any of the other property he acquired after himself.

“If he was smart, he would’ve put his name on it,” Trump said, according to three sources briefed on the exchange. -------

"Mount Vernon has a firm, long-standing policy of not commenting on the details of high-profile visits to the home of George Washington. However, we believe in the importance of ensuring that reports about events that take place at Mount Vernon are accurate. As such, we are concerned that the third-party accounts of the Trump-Macron visit released by several media outlets today do not correctly reflect the events that transpired nearly a year ago.

Mount Vernon President Doug Bradburn and Regent Sarah Coulson escorted the presidents and first ladies on a tour of the Mansion on April 23, 2018. During the tour, all parties were interested and engaged in the story of George Washington and his beloved home. Conversations touched on topics like business dealings, real estate, and related matters that were of relevance and interest to the touring parties, and questions were asked by both leaders with curiosity and respect. Comments pulled from sources who were not present for the tour do not properly convey the tone and context in which they were delivered."

Reporter Caitlin Dickerson explained what is behind CPB's alarm: "The number of migrant families crossing the Southwest border has once again broken records, with unauthorized entries nearly double what they were a year ago."

She continued, "More than 76,000 migrants crossed the border without authorization in February, an 11-year high ... newcomers continue to arrive, sometimes by the busload, at the rate of 2,200 a day."

If you use the New York Times as a news source you might want to reconsider... just say'n

"Strangely, the media have suddenly taken an intense interest in the case of pedophile and major Democratic donor Jeffrey Epstein...

But when the police chief brought this mountain of evidence to Palm Beach County's Democratic prosecutor Barry Krischer, he punted, charging the Democrat child molester with only one count of soliciting prostitution -- yes, the child victims were labeled "prostitutes" -- and offered Epstein probation...

As stories go, a child sex case involving a Palm Beach billionaire was pretty big. It was covered in the British press, in Florida media, at The New York Post and at Fox News. Bill O'Reilly led with the story on his Fox News show.

But CNN and MSNBC did not breathe a word about a Democratic prosecutor refusing to hold a Democratic child rapist accountable...

As a result of the (Republican-led) federal investigation, Epstein was finally required to plead guilty to two state felony charges, accept a sentence of two years in prison, register as a sex offender, and pay restitution to his victims.

Still no coverage by MSNBC or CNN...

But recently, the very news outlets that spiked any news about this case for the past 13 years are suddenly hot on the trail of Jeffrey Epstein. Why the newfound sense of decency?

The answer is: Because they found a Trump connection. There's a 2002 quote from Donald Trump saying nice things about Epstein and photographic proof that Epstein was one of the hundreds of thousands of people who have been to Mar-a-Lago. (There are rumors he has also been to the Grand Canyon and the Empire State Building.)"

"CNN analyst and former Obama administration advisor Samantha Vinograd recoiled at President Donald J. Trump's CPAC speech, accusing the current commander-in-chief of sounding like mass murderer and dictator Adolph Hitler as well as having his speech written by Russia's Vladimir Putin.

In particular, Vinograd was aghast that President Trump mentioned preserving "our heritage."

"Matt Wolking called out the CNN analyst for her blatant hypocrisy. Biden, like many American politicians, has remarked on the importance of "heritage" in the past. In 2011, Biden told a crowd of people, " "It's time to fight back! It's time to reclaim our heritage!"

From The Washington Post

"A staffer on Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign says he kissed her without her consent at a small gathering of supporters before a Florida rally, an interaction that she alleges in a new lawsuit still causes her anguish.

In interviews and in the lawsuit, Alva Johnson said Trump grabbed her hand and leaned in to kiss her on the lips as he exited an RV outside the rally in Tampa on Aug. 24, 2016. Johnson said she turned her head and the unwanted kiss landed on the side of her mouth.

In a statement, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders dismissed Johnson’s allegation as “absurd on its face.”

“This never happened and is directly contradicted by multiple highly credible eye witness accounts,” she wrote.

Two Trump supporters that Johnson identified as witnesses — a campaign official and Pam Bondi, then the Florida attorney general — denied seeing the alleged kiss in interviews with The Washington Post.

Johnson, a 43-year-old mother of four, does not have a long history of political activism. She registered as a Democrat in California several years ago. She said she voted for Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012 but thought Trump might be able to use his business experience to help struggling black communities."

"So, did Justin Fairfax’s allegations get the same treatment? He’s the Democratic lieutenant governor of Virginia, who has been accused by two women of sexual assault. He’s refused to resign and likened the political pressure bearing down on him as a modern-day lynching due to what he sees as a failure to take due process into account. Fairfax is right. Due process is important, and it’s nice to see Democrats see that in the wake of their deplorable character assassination campaign against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who was besieged by shoddy, uncorroborated allegations of sexual misconduct. You see, it’s the same old game. Liberals will scuttle due process on such things, like rape allegations, when Republicans are accused, but cry “lynching” when their side gets pinched. It’s righteous revenge."

Artical on CBS’s Lara Logan Eviscerates Leftmedia ‘Propagandists’

Lara Logan says "This is the problem that I have: There’s one Fox. There’s one Fox and there’s many, many, many more organizations on the Left. … The problem is the weight of all these organizations on one side of the political spectrum. When you turn on your computer, or you walk past the TV, or you see a newspaper headline in the grocery store, if they’re all saying the same thing, the weight of that convinces you that it’s true. You don’t question it, because everyone is saying it. And unless you seek out Breitbart on your computer, you’re probably not even going to know what the other side is saying. Right?"

Former New York Times executive editor Jill Abramson says, “We would do dozens of stories about Trump every single day, and every single one of them was negative.” She said, “We have become the anti-Trump paper of record.” Well, that’s not our job. That’s a political position. That means we’ve become political activists … and some could argue propagandists. And there’s some merit to that.

"Based on statements from Chicago police about evidence in the case, the supposed “hate crime” attack against actor Jussie Smollett was likely staged. The black and homosexual “Empire” actor claimed assailants in MAGA hats beat him, tied a noose around his neck, and doused him with bleach, allegedly while yelling, “This is MAGA country, nigger!” and calling him “Empire faggot!” But, as it turns out, it seems Smollett hired two Nigerians to play the part of Donald Trump-loving rednecks."

"The New York Times, ABC News, MSNBC, PBS, Los Angeles Times, and others all “reported” on the attack as if it were verified fact with nothing more than Smollett’s claims to back it up. GQ magazine even declared, “The racist, homophobic attack on Jussie Smollett is far-right America’s endgame.” So now all conservatives are to blame."

Speaker Pelosi Tweeted about it then tried to deleat the Tweet.

"Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos accused the National Enquirer's parent company of attempting to extort and blackmail him with compromising texts the media organization had obtained, according to a blog post Bezos authored on Medium.

The National Enquirer broke the news that Bezos had been carrying on an extramarital relationship with Lauren Sanchez on the same day that Bezos announced that he and his wife MacKenzie were getting a divorce.

Bezos and his representatives have speculated publicly that the Enquirer's publication of the story was politically motivated. Representatives from AMI, the company that owns the Enquirer, emailed Bezos threatening to release explicit text messages between Bezos and Sanchez if he didn't publicly state that there was no political motive behind the Enquirer's actions."

The Washington Post on Monday explained why it did not publish a story about a sexual assault allegation against Democratic Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax when the accuser first told the paper about it in Nov. 2017 and again in Jan. 2018, and the response raises questions about how the organization covered allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

A woman claims Fairfax sexually assaulted her in 2004 after meeting at the Democratic National Convention in Boston. Fairfax has denied the claim, saying their sexual encounter was consensual.

Despite the woman attempting to get the Post to publish the story in November 2017 when Fairfax was elected, and again before he was inaugurated, the Post opted not to publish her accusation.

The CO2 Derangement Syndrome – a historical overview Anthony Watts / January 23, 2019

Guest essay by Dr. Norman Page

A very large majority of establishment academic climate scientists have succumbed to a virulent infectious disease – the CO2 Derangement Syndrome. Those afflicted by this syndrome present with a spectrum of symptoms .The first is an almost total inability to recognize the most obvious Millennial and 60 year emergent patterns which are trivially obvious in solar activity and global temperature data.

This causes the natural climate cycle variability to appear frightening and emotionally overwhelming. Critical thinking capacity is badly degraded. The delusionary world inhabited by the eco-left establishment activist elite is epitomized by Harvard’s Naomi Oreskes science-based fiction, “The Collapse of Western-Civilization: A View from the Future”

Oreskes and Conway imagine a world devastated by climate change. Intellectual hubris, confirmation bias, group think and a need to feel at once powerful and at the same time morally self-righteous caused those worst affected to convince themselves, politicians, governments, the politically correct chattering classes and almost the entire UK and US media that anthropogenic CO2 was the main climate driver. This led governments to introduce policies which have wasted trillions of dollars in a quixotic and futile attempt to control earth’s temperature by reducing CO2 emissions.

"A sitting Governor describes a baby being born alive, intact and whole and then describes a death panel’s decision over whether that born child should live or die.

In his multiple back-to-back days’ worth of press conferences reading prepared statements we were told that we weren’t supposed to question his thoughts on the care of children. After all, even in the original incident, he said that the baby would be offered “comfort” before the death panel decided if that same “comforted” child would be given vital life-saving care or simply allowed to perish.

But here’s a rather obvious question, “If it’s not a living child, capable of feeling pain, why is comfort necessary?”

"The average voter doesn’t realize that these bills do all of this. He or she are simply told by the dishonest Democrats in their states that these measures simply reinforce Roe v. Wade on the state level.

Democrats are lying.

Roe only guaranteed a “right” to an abortion until the viability of the child. Casey seems to affirm that 24 weeks is the commonly recognized timeframe.

Democrats lie, they conceal their true intent, and the media gives them cover.

As of the writing of this piece, none of the mainstream networks have done any stories discussing the Virginia Governor’s comments!"

"That he is for killing babies, no one cares. They don't vote, they can't sue you, babies have no power. They are just dead. However, call him a racist now that is important. Another thing, 50% of the babies murdered are girls. #MeToo movement and Women's Rights movements... where are you? "

National Geographic said: "Climate change is making California's fires bigger."

The Los Angeles Times declared: "Bigger wildfires. Worsening droughts. More disease. How Climate change is battering California."

The Washington Post dedicated an entire story to debunking claims made by President Donald Trump in which he blamed "forest mismanagement" for the deadly fires. That's false, the Post declared, identifying climate change as the fire antagonist.

What did the judge say?

U.S. District Court Judge William Alsup ruled last Thursday that California utility company Pacific Gas and Electric was "the single most recurring cause" that contributed to devastating wildfires that burned millions of acres and led to the deaths of dozens of California residents.

"The Court tentatively finds that the single most recurring cause of the large 2017 and 2018 wildfires attributable to PG&E's equipment has been the susceptibility of PG&E's distribution lines to trees or limbs falling onto them during high-wind events.

The power conductors are almost always uninsulated. When the conductors are pushed together by falling trees or limbs, electrical sparks drop into the vegetation below. During the wildfire season when the vegetation is dry, these electrical sparks pose an extreme danger of igniting a wildfire.

Scott McLean, deputy chief of communication for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, told NBC the state determined PG&E was liable for 12 of 17 wildfires during the 2017 season, but has yet to rule on last year's fires, including the Camp Fire, which killed 88."

Catholic students at center of controversy could be expelled — then Native American witness debunks media narrative

While the mainstream media were quick on Saturday to declare the students guilty of anti-Native American bigotry, new angles and videos in context told a much different story. In fact, the students were not protesting Native Americans as some claimed, nor did they approach and surround a group of Native Americans as initially alleged.

UPDATE: From Patriot Post Mid-Day Digest, Jan. 21, 2019

"The Native American in the picture is Nathan Phillips, who says he's a Marine veteran of Vietnam. Speaking about the incident, Phillips alleged, "I heard them saying, 'Build that wall, build that wall.'" And that version of events was uncritically reported across the country, primarily because it fits the broader MSM Narrative™ that President Donald Trump is responsible for fomenting racism and bigotry in his supporters.

The trouble is that the story as it was originally reported quickly fell apart after two-plus hours of additional video footage of the event in question came out. First, the reporting that the high-school boys were the aggressors is patently false. The group of Native Americans confronted the boys, at first walking into their midst in such a way that the boys clearly did not understand what was occurring. Second, the widely reported narrative that the boys were chanting "Build that wall" is not evidenced by any of the video footage. Third, the charge that the boys were hurling various racist epithets is not borne out in the video footage, either, and in fact it was the boys who were themselves the recipients of abusive, vulgar, and racist taunts and insults. As Robby Soave from Reason writes, "This is shaping up to be one of the biggest major media misfires in quite some time."

Analysis: Trump Presidency in Grave Peril if Buzzfeed Report is Accurate, But Let's Wait For Verified Facts [UPDATE: Mueller Denies]

UPDATE - The accuracy of Buzzfeed's story has been denied by Robert Mueller's office, which took the extremely rare (and in this case, welcome and necessary) step of issuing a public statement this evening. This looks like a major black eye for the website, and a boost to the president's campaign against 'fake news.' A very big deal:

UPDATE: A spokesperson for the special counsel is disputing BuzzFeed News’ report. https://t.co/BEoMKiDypn pic.twitter.com/GWWfGtyhaE January 19, 2019

In addition to Mueller's denial, this insight from investigative Ronan Farrow strongly suggests that other plugged-in sources do not believe Trump ever issued a directive for Michael Cohen to lie under oath, which is the heart of Buzzfeed's erroneous story:

It's time for Buzzfeed to name their two anonymous sources. This is shaping up to be a disaster for everyone involved. The "wait for evidence" approach has once again been vindicated.

Graham did not "end" the interview. There was no "huff." Indeed, there wasn't even a "fact-check," as the Senator did not disagree with or dispute the host's injected context, added for clarity. Literally everything about Johnson's tweet was a misrepresentation.

Politico ran a gushing headline that read, "Jamal Khashoggi: The Free Thinker Whose Murder Shook the World." Time magazine named him one of "the Guardians," the journalistic muckrakers who became its 2018 Person of the Year.

Time's Karl Vick laid on the praise, and thick, writing: "Khashoggi put his faith in bearing witness. He put it in the field reporting he had done since youth, in the newspaper editorship he was forced out of and in the columns he wrote from lonely exile."

In Vick's overwrought prose, Khashoggi was a bold and independent fact-finder. "What irked the kingdom and marked the journalist for death was Khashoggi's insistence on coming to that conclusion on his own, tempering it with troubling facts and trusting the public to think for itself," Vick wrote. Holy smokes! But it gets even better: "Such independence is no small thing. It marks the distinction between tyranny and democracy."

But wait. ... How independent was Khashoggi? On Dec. 23, the Washington Post acknowledged a "problematic" arrangement between Khashoggi and the autocrats of Qatar, a nemesis of Saudi Arabia (and the owners of "independent" Al Jazeera). Of course, the Post buried these facts in paragraph 19 on page A-14, in a massive 5,000-word story.

So Khashoggi was railing against one set of authoritarians ... with the research assistance and "drafting" and "shaping" of another set. This doesn't make his ruthless murder any less heinous. But it ought to curtail all the "Free Thinker Just Bearing Witness" rubbish.

Fired Times editor Jill Abramson, admitted that her former paper’s anti-Trump bias gives credence to the attack that the mainstream media is more of an opposition party.

Well, there’s no shocker there concerning how the young, left-wing comrades of the Times wanted to turn the paper into an outlet for anti-Trump America. Just be honest, guys. You’re liberal. You hate Trump. And your material is only for liberals. You’re an opposition newspaper. But the Times and other like-minded publications will never admit it, of course. They don’t think they’re biased, and they’re pampered. The media’s ludicrous reactions to when Trump bashes them, most of the time legitimately, is a prime example. Trashing the press isn’t a threat. It’s merely what millions of Americans do on a daily basis. The only difference is that Trump uses the bully pulpit to get that message across. It’s what Trump’s supporters want. He’s a man who will deliver uppercuts to the media, which is something the GOP base has been dying to see for years.

Immigration advocates and human rights groups sharply criticized CBP in the wake of Felipe’s death. The body of 7-year-old Jakelin Caal, who died earlier this month, was returned this week to her village in Guatemala for burial.

You knew this was going to be used to attack the Trump White House. Enforcing federal immigration laws is evil, you see. And we have a new sheriff in town that is—you know—going to do that. This infuriates the Left to no end. Once again, we have to take liberal media by the hand to show that much of what Trump is doing at the border is what the Obama administration did. The Obama administration shot tear gas at migrants at the border, they separated children from adults at the border, and guess what; migrants died under the custody of U.S. immigration officials. In fact, 18 migrants died under the Obama regime. When are we going after him for being a proto-Nazi

Claas Relotius, who wrote for the German magazine Der Spiegel, was an impressive investigative reporter who had earned himself a spot on Forbes's "30 Under 30" list for European media and won CNN's "Journalist of the Year" award in 2014. He had composed over 60 articles for Der Spiegel and was largely lauded for his work. However, after an internal investigation, the magazine was shocked to discover the star reporter had fabricated at least 14 of his reports.

Relotius's troubles with the truth got him fired from Der Spiegel, forced him to relinquish his CNN title, and seek mental help.

Well, the liberal media is back at it again. What else is new? The Left hates Trump so much that were now re-litigating his bone spur diagnosis, which earned the young Donald Trump a pass from the draft during the Vietnam War. First, who cares? Whatever comes from this story won’t impact his presidency. He’s not going to resign over this, and his supporters surely won’t abandon him either. So, here’s the story, which cannot be verified in any way: the daughters of some podiatrist, who is now dead, say the bone spur diagnosis was a favor to Fred Trump to keep his son out of the war. What’s worst is that The Times admits there are no records to corroborate…anything

“The pool reporters traveling said that the troops brought the hats with them, including one hat that said ‘Trump 2020. We will have to see if that actually proves to be the case. The question is, if they brought them or if the President brought them: What commander allowed that to really happen?” Starr asked. “Troops are not supposed to be involved in political activities. The U.S. military is not a political force.”

CNN's latest concern? That U.S. service members dared to ask President Trump to sign their Make America Great Again [MAGA] hats. In fact, they're accusing soldiers of breaking U.S. military protocol that could result in punishment.

Video footage and the written report of Trump's visit with service members in Iraq showed signing of hats and a "Trump 2020" patch.

But troops' requests for the autographs could brush up against Department of Defense guidelines for political activities. https://t.co/jUUqF91bcX — CNN (@CNN) December 27, 2018
